I ordered the size 6 because reviews said the shoe ran a size small. It was huge and way too much volume for my foot. If ordering this cute comfortable shoe, don’t order a size larger.

Walked in these puppies right out of the box. Constant compliments. Love Velcro straps and shiny tip ends—instead of Pilgrim buckles—for assorted degrees of foot swelling in summer heat. Love beyond words sophisticated style.

I was really looking forward to another pair of Mephisto sandals and assumed the comfort of these would be comparable to my very old Mephisto Mobils. These are very cute but I feel like I’m wearing chunks of rubber on my feet. At this price point, I expected I’d be getting a top notch sandal with the latest & greatest comfort design, not chunks of rubber to walk on. I should have sent them back. The saving grace is the animal print is cute, subtle & easy to wear with lots of clothes.

Fit was pretty much what I expected. Just a tad bit longer than I would like. Pretty comfortable, but will need a little breaking in, as edges on straps a little rough for long wear right now. The bad part was the shipping and delivery. Shipped via Amazon and took 5 days to get here (followed the tracking map and they went by my house one day to another warehouse, then came back to me the next day). At first I thought I got the wrong package as shoes weren’t in a Mephisto box. Opened box and message said original box damaged. Shoes were in good condition, so kept them. This is Not the first time I received damaged packages from Amazon.

These candles look really good but they are not comfortable like Mephistos should be. The sole looks as though it should have a nice give, but it is very stiff.

I love the way these fit and look. BUT, they are so heavy, it’s ridiculous. Heavy and STIFF. One of the reasons that I love Zappos is that I can wear shoes around the house for a while to see how I like them. These were ok on comfort, but when I was thrilled to take them off, I knew they weren’t for me:(

These are great looking. Unfortunately they are HEAVY and the soles don’t bend at all. It feels like you tied bricks to your feet. They are so cute. I wore them around the house trying to make them work for me. I was SO relieved when I took them off that they went back. Great design that needs work.

Like others have said, they seem a little long, but the footbed seems to “cradle” your foot. It is a little different than other Mephistos I’ve worn. The white is a patent leather which makes them really cute. They do look a little heavy. I didn’t notice them feeling heavy. Last year, I ordered the Dania style and this is the same footbed but with a back strap which I really like. I felt like I was constantly gripping my toes to keep the Dania on last year. The adjustable straps (both are fully adjustable) make a great fit for me. The wavy soles are modern. I like cute shoes + comfort so I like these in white. Black might be a little heavy looking for me, so I have white.

I like the look of these sandals. The 38 would have been the right size, but this sandal has a raised edge around the footbed, a bit similar to a Birkenstock. I would have to go up to a 39 I think. There is a very gentle toe bar. The footbed isn’t as cushioned as I need it to be. The ankle strap comes up a bit further than some, and is not curved. The front strap, combined with the raised edge, was a bit much for my bunions. I really wanted to like these sandals. The black looked great on, but comfort wins every time. This pair will have to go back.

Fit like Birkenstocks, but have a much more comfortable outsole. They are roomy in the toe box and totally adjustable. My old pair is three-years-old and still going strong.

Fit was just off. Next size would have been way too big. The sole has a lip around toe box that I found uncomfortable. Also the shoe was styled a little clunky and stiff.

I wanted to love these, but it didn’t think there were quite comfortable enough to wear on a walk so weren’t what I was looking for. If they were cheaper, I may have reconsidered, but at this price point I didn’t think it was worth it.

Beautiful sandal. I love the adjustable straps. Unfortunately the fit was too small. My toes hit the top edge. I order another pair of Mephisto’s in the same size (41) and the fit was fine. Not sure why this sandal runs small.

These shoes are a dream — amazingly comfortable, and a deep heel cup for folks like me with flat feet who need overpronation support on the inner side. They’re also really stylish for such an orthopedic fit. The only major downside is the price — I typically don’t spend this much on a shoe, but my feet are so difficult to fit that when I find a pair that feels nice, I am sorry to let them go.

These are the most expensive sandals I’ve ever bought, but they were worth every penny. I just LOVE them!! My only complaint is that I don’t like the other colors. If they worked for me as well as the black does, I would buy them in every color.

Truth be known I ordered these sandals after much deliberation, canceled my order then re-ordered them again knowing Zappos is so good about returns. I received them today, right on schedule and hurriedly tried them on. I was put off by conflicting reviews about these very expensive shoes. I not only have flat feet but after years as a flight attendant my poor feet have suffered from bunions, hammertoes and calluses. When I put them on, they were not ‘heavy’ at all as described by some reviewers; my feet felt cushioned and embraced by the soft leather and quality construction and walking in them around my house tonight I felt like they had sufficient flexibility for me. We are experiencing torrential rains in southern CA right now but I am really excited to wear them around Honolulu during my layover! I purchased these specifically for our upcoming vacation to Tahiti but I think I will be enjoying them during our drier season here. The color is wonderful and the leather on the straps and on the foot bed are so soft that it does not bother my bunion at all! What a great gift for my hardworking feet! Thank you Mephisto and thank you Zappos!

These are very comfortable, and nice for a casual work day. With the bit of height in the heel and the cute but edgy style, these are keepers. I have another very similar pair, which I have worn endlessly.
