Have work Mephistos for 25 yrs, mostly slides and sandals. Have about 15+ Pairs. This is 1st pair of this “model”. They fit well, but heel feels a little low, definitely lower than all another Mephistos i have – which gives me the feeling I do not have enough back support/lift. These are great looking shoes on & off! Would buy in all 3 colors if heel lift issue was fixed!

The insole and support underneath was extremely hard, and I knew I would not be able to tolerate it. I am older and do not have the fat under my foot that I had when I was younger. The discontinued Nora Star was very comfortable and supportive and I used them as my house slippers. I am so sad it is no longer available. I ordered this shoe because the style looked identical, but had to return it because of the hardness. I wish the descriptions of shoes offered addressed softness/hardness and support. The shoes did appear to be well made.

These were narrower than expected. My foot is a little on the wide side and Mephisto shoes usually fit me perfectly. The leather is thick enough that I did not feel it would stretch or soften up. I also agree with a previous poster that it would be nice to have just a little more height in the heel.

They look great, the design of the band is very nice, but the arch support is badly designed. The sides come up to hug the foot, but it is too narrow for the heel area. My heel felt higher on one side and as a consequence, it moved to the side of the shoe. It hurts. This shoe is for someone that has a very narrow heel. Too bad!

The length was good, but the band was loose and not adjustable. They felt way too sloppy on my feet. I have another pair of mephisto sandals with adjustable straps and I love them.

I wear a lot of Mephisto sandals. These fit me the same as my other Mephistos. I actually went down a size. The band across the top is a little stiff at first, but mine have loosened up with wear and I like the slide effect. Not as bare as some sandals which I kind of like since I don’t have the most beautiful feet.

Caution – Size 40 (according to Zappos here) is NOT a US women’s size 10; had to return & get a 41. Band also is a bit snug but should break in after a few wearings. Basic slide with decent support

It just didn’t feel right. I bought another pair in the yellow color and they were fine but this wasn’t comfortable and pushed one of my feet in a weird direction. I tried to wear it around the house thinking it was the leather that need to soften up but I couldn’t wear it for a long enough time to achieve any success. Too bad as I like the style and am trying to get away from thong styles.

I’ve had three pairs of Helen. My last pair was purchased 5 yrs ago and I’m wearing them into the ground. Currently Helens and Hanik do not accommodate comfortably my foot. I’m a true 6 1/2 in length. I have a high instep and I need a roomy toe box due to widened feet over the years. Helens seem to be narrower than before and the footbed not quite as soft. I love the style of Hanik but the leather across the top is a bit bulky/stiff for me. The outside bone along my foot presses over the edge on both models..and hurts. I admit my feet have become problematic.. but for those feet that aren’t, and have an average wide foot, they are both great options. As always, Zappos customer service is second to none! Always Amazing!!! Thank you!!

I have high arches so really need the support. Love this style of slip ons, extremely comfortable and they fit me perfectly! I normally wear a 71/2 and these 8’s do the job. Beautiful swede leather thick band, they are casual and can still wear them with dresses.

Love Mephisto shoes! First of all because of the fantastic arch support that they give us who have high arches. Secondly, because of the quality of the shoe. The swede leather band is beautiful!!! I can wear these slip ons with casual wear and with dresses. A fab shoe all around!

These sandals are very cute and offer great support. They are conformable once they are worn in, which took a good week of wear. The brand was recommended by my podiatrist. However the run small. I had to get a full size larger. The shoe is heavy and the leather is stiff. It did soften with wear. However, they are very cute shoes.

I was looking for an easy slip on for winter that I could wear with socks. Years ago Mephisto used to make a similar pair named Hanka. These are so comfortable with the awesome arch support I’ve relied on for years from Mephisto. Thank you for another great pair of shoes!

Sadly, the Hanik doesn’t feel like other Mephistos shoes. The strap feels and looks low quality and is very stiff.

the shoe did not have any give. it was too tight on my foot. I have several Mephisto styles but alas this one was too rigid.

I own about 8 pairs of Mephisto sandals. They are comfortable, cute, and excellent for your posture. My orthopedic surgeon said they are probably one of THE best shoes you can put on your feet. Yes, pricey compared to others, but you get what you pay for.

This is a wonderful shoe – Beautiful and Comfortable. Growing older, my feet look just fine, but they are not. Finding the right shoe is a real challenge for me. I was familiar with this Brand, and I am not disappointed.

I was delighted when I saw this item was sold in women’s Size 12, however when I received it, it felt like a 10.5…maybe an 11. My toes hung over and everything. Order a size up, if you have smaller feet. Since the sizing stops at “12”, I had to return.
