   This shoe was too small and, although quite handsome, it didn’t fit properly.

   I wanted to love these, but the toe box was a little tight and it felt like the back was slipping (at the heel) when I walked. I marked them as too small, but I don’t think they were. Just not the right construction for my medium width and high instep. Sadly I had to return them.

   These are beautifully designed and comfortable as soon as I put them on – the only drawback is as soon as I got outside in them (northeast) they scuff easily from ice, water, snow (and the messy “salt” we all must use to melt the ice) – which is our winter. I’m going to keep them because I truly love the fit and look, but I’m going to look for suede waterproofing which may help – otherwise I’ve been able to brush out the scuffs. They are, like most Mephisto’s a beautiful shoe.

   I have been looking for several years to a comfortable Mephisto or an Arche in this taupe color. I love that a comfy shoe doesn’t have to be super ugly!

   The shoe is nice, but too small in correct size to use thin socks. A larger size would be too big and long.

   Since the majority of my shoes are Mephistos and are truly comfortable, I felt confident that these also would be the same. However, I was quite disappointed that the right shoe’s heel was about an inch too long. The result was that my shoe wanted to slip off. I tried all my foot inserts and none helped. Sadly because the color and left shoe comfort was perfect, I had to return them.

   I really wanted to wear these walking around Europe. The size was correct but my heel slipped. A smaller size would have been too small in the toebox. Very disappointed. I usually do well with Mephisto

   These are beautiful shoes and just what I was looking for – a comfortable, stylish shoe. Normally I wear a 9 in Mephistos, but ordered a 9.5 based on the chart inch measurement. Unfortunately, the length was a little short and my heel kept slipping so sadly returning.

   Very comfortable for walking all day. Only issue is that there is a slight slip in the heel, but I got used to it over time and it didn’t cause a blister
